Frederick Brillant and David Villa tallied a goal in each half but a two goal lead wasn't enough as New York City FC settled for a 2-2 draw.  A goal by Kevin Molino for Orlando City SC during stoppage time would prove to be the difference at Yankee Stadium.

For Brillant, it was his first goal of his Major League Soccer career.  He found the back of the net just before halftime to send NYCFC into the locker room up 1-0.  RJ Allen played it on a corner by Andrea Pirlo then Brillant jumped and headed it in.

Villa doubled the lead in the 66th minute.  He took a ball off his chest from Pirlo and kicked it high where it landed past Orlando City goalie Joe Bendik.  It was his ninth goal of the season which leads the MLS.

Orlando City got on the board in the 72nd minute with a goal by Julio Baptista.  Molino tied it in stoppage and both teams walked away with a point.
